No. We use matchmaking to make friends, not dates. Grounded Connections is a friendship community for women.
There’s no swiping and no endless messaging. No big or overwhelming organised events. Each new moon we put you in a small group of women near you with a suggested activity and area, so you actually meet, outdoors, doing something you love.
On every new moon. Opt in in the app beforehand and your new group lands in a group chat on the day.
We suggest an activity and area to meet. Your group chooses the date, time and exact spot. These are informal meets between members, not guided or organised events.
Straight away on the events map, and your first group lands on the next new moon. It’s one of the most common reasons women join.
Groups are small, the plan is already suggested and you’re doing something together, which takes the pressure off. It’s often much easier to chat side by side on a walk than across a table.
No. Meets happen outdoors: walks, swims, forages, picnics and more. If your group fancies a coffee or a pint afterwards, that’s entirely up to you.
No. You opt in each month. Sit a month out and you still keep the events map, snail mail and your past group chats.
We connect over 99.1% of our members every single month, but if you opt in to monthly connections and if for any reason we can’t find you a group, your next month is on us, no need to even ask.
Absolutely. Groups are matched on your pace and feral rating, so you might meet for a big hill day or a gentle walk and a coffee. All ages and paces are welcome.
Yes. At most meets you can bring them along: just ask your group. We also run dedicated little-one-friendly and dog-friendly adventures.

Every membership includes all three ways to connect: monthly connections, the events map and snail mail.
Informal meets hosted by our Ambassadors, with new ones added daily. Filter by activity, accessibility, and whether they're little-one or doggo friendly. All included in your membership.
